In Boston, Tony Susi returned to the North End to open Little Sage, along with the original owner of bygone Sage, Jennifer Matarazzo

In New York City, Brendan Kelley and Daniel Grossman introduced Confidant, marking the first full-service restaurant in Industry City. Alexia Duchêne exited Margot to work on her own French restaurant, Le Chêne, due this spring in the West Village. The Hotel Chelsea adds a Japanese restaurant, Teruko, next season, with Tadashi Ono as chef. Flynn McGarry shutters Gem Wine March 28. 

In Philadelphia, Uncle Gus’ Steaks and Bao & Bun Studio joined the lineup at Reading Terminal Market

 

In Washington, D.C., El Rey expanded to Navy Yard. The Jane Jane team branched out in Union Market with Bar Betsie

In New Jersey, Tideline | Sunset Bar & Grill makes a splash in Margate City this summer. Tommy’s Tavern + Tap adds a Wayne later this year.

In Pittsburgh, Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao opened on the South Side. 

In Baltimore, Calvin Riley (Prim and Proper) became the executive chef at Choptank

In Richmond, the Giavos family (Stella’s) went Italian for its latest venture, Lafayette Tavern. Braised meats and vegetables took the spotlight at Brazen, newly opened in the Fan.
